Milestone: Undergraduate in Business focused in Human Resources + Graduate in Accounting
Some sessions come with a little extra magic built in, and Gabi and Ethan's was one of them... these two were my husband and I’s college roommates! Two graduates, two degrees, one wedding on the calendar for summer 2026 — this session was basically a celebration of everything they built while they were in school. They met at Georgia Southern which is so cute!
Gabi graduated with her bachelor's in Human Resources, and Ethan earned his Master's in Accounting — both from Georgia Southern (where he also got his undergrad). Different programs, different paths through campus, but somehow they ended up crossing the same finish line at the same time and built something that will last forever. That's the kind of timing you can't plan for - it was just meant to be.
We shot the session at Sweetheart Circle, and got to do it two ways: solo portraits so each of them has their own moment to mark their individual achievement at Georgia Southern, and couples shots so there's also a record of doing this milestone together. It's one of my favorite combinations to shoot, because the energy shifts so naturally between the two of them — focused and posed in the solo shots, easy and a little smiley once they're back together again. It really calms the session down.
With a wedding on the horizon, this was a great session to capture where everything started!
